New Ace Frehley Memoir In The Works

NEW YORK, NY - APRIL 10: Inductee Ace Frehley of KISS attends the 29th Annual Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony at Barclays Center of Brooklyn on April 10, 2014 in New York City.
With all of the mudslinging this past year between the original members of KISS, you’d think that Ace Frehley would dedicate a chapter in his new memoir to a particularly juicy story or two about the band, but it sounds like he’s taking the high road.

Speaking with Australia’s “The Rock Pit,” Ace says, “I don’t believe in a lot of negativity, so most of the stories in the book are going to be about me, funny stories and funny situations on the road, all stories about me in the Bronx growing up and so on and so forth.”

While I’m a bit bummed that Ace isn’t using this time to take a shot at Paul Stanley and/or Gene Simmons, this book won’t be completely void of celebrity stories.  Apparently, there’s some story involving a visit to John McEnroe’s home, because a memoir without a John McEnroe story is just incomplete.

There’s no set timeline of release yet for Ace’s new book, but his new album Space Invader will be coming out on August 19th.  You can take a listen to the album’s first single, “Gimme A Feelin,’” below.
