Being a big rocker in the 80’s must’ve been fun, but to survive that and still be rocking today is simply amazing. Happy Birthday to one of the Rock N’ Roll’s great front men, Joe Elliott!
The 55-year-old rock star has been with Def Leppard for over three decades, and he hasn’t lost a bit of his edge.
With Def Leppard on tour with Kiss, the glam metal rocker is still active with side projects such as the Down N’ Outz, who just released their third album “The Further Adventures Of…” earlier this year and recently announced a December U.K. tour.
To say Joe stays busy is a bit of an understatement. When he isn’t on tour with Def Leppard or recording albums with the Down N’ Outz, he also manages to find time to be in yet another band, Kings of Chaos.
Kings of Chaos, formerly known as the Rock N’ Roll All Stars, is a band comprising some of the genres best living rock stars, most of whom are from Guns N’ Roses.
The members include some of the most talented rockers who are still active such as Elliott himself, Slash, Gilby Clarke, Matt Sorum, and formerly had Gene Simmons.
Recently Joe’s been open about his criticism of many things, but none stick out as much as his criticism of the British Press in their lack of attention towards Def Leppard, which he feels is disrespectful.
Joe, an avid soccer fan, is also a big supporter of the Sheffield United Soccer club and has even contributed music to a film about his hometown club called When Saturday Comes.
Although you could pour some sugar on him, I’m sure Joe would just prefer you simply join us wishing him a Happy Birthday!
