Godsmack pride themselves on live shows, but it sounds like a recent stop on the Rockstar Uproar Festival in Pennsylvania couldn’t handle everything they were bringing.
According to a post on the band’s Facebook page, Godsmack were unable to perform at the August 23rd show “due to unforeseen production/technical issues” with the stage and couldn’t fit their production on the side stage. The post states that the other main stage acts weren’t able to perform either, but according to the Allentown, Penn. Morning Call, Skillet, Buckcherry, Pop Evil, Escape The Fate, 3 Years Hollow and Sons of Revelry did take the stage that night.
The good news for fans who had tickets to the August 23rd show is that they will be honored tonight (August 26th) at Uproar’s stop in Camden NJ, so all is not completely lost.
Up until this minor hiccup, everything was going swimmingly according to Godsmack drummer Shannon Larkin, who told WDHA’s Terrie Carr:
“Yeah, it’s a hell of a lineup. You know, it’s been great. Great food, great parties, no crazy attitudes backstage. Everybody’s just getting along well, and the production’s going great. The shows have been rockin’. The crowds have been fantastic. You know, we’ve done the Uproar Festival before a couple of years ago, and we had high expectations, and I’ll tell ya, it’s living up to every one of them.”
