Plan on a June release for Stone Sour’s sixth album, Hydrograd, though a firm release date hasn't yet been announced.
The group announced the news in an online video during which it invited one of its biggest fans into the studio to hear the new material -- though it cuts out just before the music starts, with frontman Corey Taylor telling the camera, "The preview was for him...You'll have to wait, but you won’t' have to wait long."

Taylor tells us he's excited to get the follow-up to 2013`s "House Of Gold & Bones Part 2" out into the world:
"It's some of the best shit that we've ever, ever written. I'll probably say that it is the best stuff that we've ever writing...The cool thing is that it's got a lot of different directions but at its core it's very hard rock, and I mean that in almost sort of a modern classic sense. There are some hints of punk in there, there's some cool hard rock/heavy metal, there's just all of these really cool elements that we've...never maybe allowed ourselves to kind of go do."
Stone Sour kicks off its Serenity of Summer tour with Korn on June 16 in Salt Lake City, running through August 2 in Cleveland.
