Robert Plant rocked Royal Albert Hall last night (March 14) as part of violinist Nigel Kennedy’s “Gala Celebration” for the venue’s Love Classical festival, and one song in particular stood out from the rest.
Plant, Kennedy and an awesome backing orchestra performed the Led Zeppelin classic “Kashmir.” (See performance clip below.)
Why is this such a big deal? Apparently, this is the first time Plant has ever performed “Kashmir” as a solo artist.
Hmmm…wonder what Jimmy Page’s thoughts will be? Afterall, there is no bigger Zeppelin fan on the face of this Earth than Page himself.
Tingling goosebumps & #mindblown last night watching #RobertPlant & #NigelKennedy ripping in2 the epic #kashmir #brilliant @RoyalAlbertHall https://t.co/F8JmrtQCvn
