General consensus: this year's MMR*B*Q was amazing. Decent weather (a little chilly, but no rain), great music and a beautiful celebration of Chris Cornell.
The 2013 'RBQ alum was the topic of conversation every where. Gavin Rossdale had beautiful words to share about his dear friend during a backstage interview with Pierre Robert, "music was his life." Gavin also told the mid-day host that just that morning he had sent an e-mail to Dave Grohl as they all had kids the same age who attend the same schools.
During the concert, Bush incorporated "Black Hole Sun" into their cover of REM's "The One I Love" right before the lyrics "this one goes out to the one I love, this one goes out to the one I left behind."

Towards the end of LIVE's energetic reunion set, Ed Kowalczyk grabbed an acoustic guitar and said to the audience: “I think this was one of the most beautiful songs ever written. It was one of the many gifts given to us by the incomparable Chris Cornell, and so from our spirits to yours, Mr. Cornell, we say thank you and God bless you very much."

Perhaps the most emotional part of the evening happened backstage where The Pretty Reckless sat down for an interview with Jaxon and Sara. The band, who had opened up for Soundgarden on what would be their last show with Cornell, was still struggling with the events of the last week. They hinted that something special was in the works to celebrate their friend and mentor. As an encore, the MMR*B*Q audience was surprised with this tribute:
