With some help from Folds of Honor, Adam Driver and Budweiser:
This summer, we've been honoring those who protect our freedom to dream. So we delivered a life-changing scholarship to a family who has sacrificed for their country and for each other with the help of Folds of Honor and Adam Driver.
Lest you think this is purely about marketing, or selling beer, it's important to be a little less cynical for a few reasons. Why? Well, not too long after September 11, 2001, Driver decided to join the United States Marine Corps. He was assigned to Weapons Company, 1st Battalion, 1st Marines and served for more than 2 1/2 years before breaking his sternum while mountain biking. Ultimately, he was medically discharged before his unit deployed to Iraq.
