Did You Know: Canada Had a Spaceballs Animated Series?

Preston dropped this nugget of knowledge on us this morning: In 2008 Spaceballs: The Animated Series aired in Canada for one season.

According to Wikipedia, the show had 13 episodes with names like, "Lord of the Onion Rings," "Watch Your Assic Park," & "Druidian Idol" where Barf and Princess Vespa appear on the singing competition while Lone Star, Dot, and Skroob pose as judges.

Original cast members Mel Brooks (President Skroob / Yogurt), Daphne Zuniga (Princess Vespa), &  Joan Rivers (Dot Matrix) lent their voices alongside famed voice actors Tino Insana (Barf), Rino Romano (Lone Starr) and Dee Bradley Baker (Dark Helmet).

Spaceballs is a 1987 American parody film co-written and directed by Mel Brooks and starring Brooks, Bill Pullman, John Candy and Rick Moranis. It also features Daphne Zuniga, Dick Van Patten, and the voice of Joan Rivers. It was released by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer on June 24, 1987, and was met with a mixed reception.
