On April 2nd at The Blockley Pourhouse, Intern Jake and Pancake were given the opportunity to sit down with musician Tim Reynolds. Reynolds’ is best known for his collaborations with Dave Matthews and the Dave Matthews Band, but where he really shines is through his work as a solo artist and fronting his own band TR3.
Wrapping up his solo acoustic tour in Philadelphia, Reynolds was supporting the release of his new solo album “The Limbic System”. In our interview, Reynolds discussed his grammy nomination, the conception of his new album, and all things Dave Matthews band.
“The Limbic System” is a double-disc release. The instrumental disc displays the raw talent of Reynolds from the first track “Che” to “ South Fork Mud”. The second disc showcases Reynolds’ vocal ability and conveys a “Delta Blues” vibe through tracks like “Hands Full” and “ Old Bones Rollin’“.
Reynolds flawlessly performed for over two hours. When he played “Stream” the crowd erupted. At one point, Reynolds introduced local artist Christie Lenee, and they jammed for over 20 minutes. Reynolds ended with an encore “ Hold on I’m coming.” Watching Reynolds play is a musician’s wet dream.
Reynolds will be performing at the DMB Summer Caravan in Atlantic City June-24-26. You can catch him on stage with TR3, acoustic with Dave Matthews, or with the Dave Matthews Band.
Special thank you to: Tim Reynolds, The Blockley Pourhouse
