Preston & Steve®

Weekdays 5:30am - 10:30am

Alt-rockers, Cage The Elephant, have an energy on stage that like non other. Not surprisingly at all, the same flow is true for their interviews, even early in the morning… aka, the opposite of “rock star time”.

While promoting their album, Thank You, Happy Birthday, the boys came in for a Q&A and performance for a small group of Preston & Steve Show winners.

It was amazing.

They brought beer off the bus for the in studio guests, talked about getting in fights over skinny jeans, moving to London because that’s where Jimi Hendrix started and how they found success (re: paint yourself red and wear little boys undies on stage)

Do you know where the name of the band comes from? We didn’t, but they entertained all of our crazy theories before revealing that it’s a name a plastic cereal box prize where you rolled the BB around and fit it into the hole.

Then they stunned the room with acoustic performances of “Ain’t No Rest for The Wicked” and “Shake Me Down.” Listen to the whole interview and mini concert:
