Metal Works at Pen & Pencil Club, 1522 Latimer Street in Center City Philadelphia. Opened from 5-9pm, a holiday pop-up exhibition, “Metal Works,” displaying many of Scott Weiner photographs on a new metal medium for the first time, including pictures of Andy Warhol, Sylvester Stallone, the Who, Madonna, Iggy Pop, and Justin Timberlake. The rich, glossy metal prints appear to float off the walls because of a special backing. All the images in the exhibition will be for sale. The metal prints are $250, and the non-metal prints are $175 for this one-day exhibition only and make perfect holiday gifts for music-loving and celebrity-loving friends and family members. The Pen & Pencil Club is one of the oldest surviving press clubs in the country. Since 1892, the P&P, as it is affectionately called, has been open daily with nearly no interruption, including during Prohibition and World War II. It’s a cool place well-worth visiting. Penn’s Landing’s Independence Seaport Museum Parade of Lights returns – a favorite annual holiday event. A parade of local working boats will be illuminated in holiday lights for all to see on the Delaware River at 5:30 p.m. The best spot to take in this unique sight is from the Museum’s second floor terrace. Warm seasonal beverages and food will be available in our Holiday Hut. Santa’s Workshop on the Water will be merry and bright with tons of activities and crafts.
