Fallout Continues For QOTSA In Wake Of Josh Homme/Photographer Incident
Queens Of The Stone Age continues to suffer censure after frontman Josh Homme kicked a photographer in the head during a concert last weekend in Los Angeles.
The group’s scheduled performance on The Ellen Show Thursday (December 14) was canceled without explanation, leaving Will Smith as the only guest. The BBC children’s show “Bedtime Stories” also axed segments that Homme had filmed.
Homme has issued two statements apologizing for the incident on December 9, when he kicked photographer Chelsea Lauren. A video of the act has been widely circulated, and Lauren has said she plans to file a police report and press charges.
QOTSA is due back on the road January 22 in Victoria, British Columbia, with dates in North and South America and Europe booked into the summer. The group’s latest album, Villains, has been nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Rock Album.
