Part of the experience of important sporting events is being around people who are enjoying the moment with you. Also, tailgating.
Philly.com’s Ronnie Polaneczky has been asking the NFL since last November if the Eagles were in the Super Bowl can we watch the game at Lincoln Financial Field? They said no then and have not changed their stance.
The NFL is the only one of the four major sports leagues that who bans these large watch parties [examples of NBA, MLB & NHL mass viewings]. They claim it effects ratings and inevitably advertising rates for consequent years and we’re calling BS!
