GRETA VAN FLEET Chosen by ELTON JOHN to Play Annual Gala: Loudwire

Greta Van Fleet have been chosen to perform at the 26th Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party, which is one of the hottest tickets in Hollywood. Every year, Elton does a song or two by himself, then performs with his featured musical guest, and then the guest (in this case, Greta Van Fleet) does an entire set of their own. Recent performers at this charity event have been Lady Gaga and Ed Sheeran… So this is a pretty big deal!

Guitarist Jake Kiszka says: “We were speechless when Elton called us. We are all big fans of his, so we are very honored by this invitation.”

SCOTT IAN of ANTHRAX Discusses SLAYER’s Farewell Tour: WMMR.com

In a new interview, Scott Ian discussed how Anthrax will be joining Slayer on their final trek around the world this summer. He revealed that he didn’t even know was a “farewell” run until it was publicly announced. Scott Ian says: “All the best things have a great ending, whether it’s a book, a movie, a TV series… If you don’t stick the ending, it’s almost like, what was the point in the first place? I really think they’re gonna go out in a big way and really stick the ending.”

Slayer’s final tour arrives in Reading PA on June 4th.

ANDREW W.K. Premieres New Video: Loudwire

Andrew W.K. is bringing the power of positivity with his album You’re Not Alone, due out March 2nd. Today, he premiered the single “Ever Again,” and a video to go with it. The King Of Partying is known for his loud and upbeat anthems, and this song is no different. Andrew W.K. says the song is about “the belief in the possibility of an absolute Truth that… connects us with a part of ourselves that’s both primal and divine… A feeling that can’t be understood, but can only be… celebrated in worshipful glee. Partying is born.”
