Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone wrote this song for The Oscars, but it was apparently WAY too expensive to produce, so the Academy Awards shelved the idea. C'mon, the four Chrises?! VIDEO GOLD! Sadly, we'll likely never see the finished product.
Being the good sports that they are, though, the crew at The Lonely Island released this demo version on their YouTube channel. As the guys have noted, "for fun we thought we’d share the rough storyboards of what would have been a fully shot, star-studded music video of exorbitant cost. All vocals and visuals are temp, so please use your imagination and enjoy!" We will. And the world is a better place for it!
