Steve Sinko is the co-founder of Fusion Inclusion, an organization dedicated to assisting people with physical and cognitive challenges to participate in local races by giving them access to adaptive running chairs.
Preston Buenaga is a young man with Mitochondrial Disease, and the founder of Preston’s March for Energy whose mission is to give those with special needs access to freedom, fun, and physical exercise that an adaptive bike will provide, to promote inclusion, and to educate those we serve and the community regarding the importance of physical fitness in the special needs population.
Preston and Steve met in 2014 at a Fusion Fitness Center fundraiser and together have raced in numerous marathons. Next month they will travel north for the Boston Marathon. Listen to the duo on The Preston & Steve Show:
What gets them through the 3+ hour race? Good ol’ rock and roll! Their theme song for this journey is “The Boys are Back” from Dropkick Murphys and you can support Preston and Steve by adding songs to their Boston Marathon playlist through this link. The rules: NO Country and NO Slow Jams.
Good luck, P&S from the other P&S!
