Do you follow this simple list of public etiquette?
We can’t be aware of our surroundings at all times, but c’mon people, there are simple courtesies to follow that will stop you from ruining someone else’s day.
Two movies in a row, Preston was stuck next to couples talking in movie theater. Do you know how much money it costs to take an entire family to the movies? Whether they realized it or not, those people were being rude and selfish. This trend needs to stop!
We asked you to help us compile a master list of simple ediquette that make the world a better place:
- Always say excuse me
- Don’t talk during a movie
- Left lane is for passing
- this goes for walking too
- Limit the number of selfies you take
- No cell phones during dinner
- Put shopping carts back in their proper spot
- Turn car lights on in the rain
- When walking, step to the side before stopping
- Let people off the elevator before getting on
- 1 parking spot for your car, never 2
- When a new register opens, “next customer” is not the person at the end of the line
- Hold the door for people
- Avoid using speaker phone loudly in public
- If you chose to shop, don’t leave your car at the gas pump
- Save self check out for people with a handful of items
- Also, 10 items or less is up to 15 no more
- Stop/pause a phone conversation when checking out at a store
- ALWAYS USE YOUR TURN SIGNAL
Please pass this along to anyone who may need a reminder.
