Submission: I have been racing sled dogs since 1994. I currently have three Siberian Huskies and one Border Collie who thinks he is a Husky. We run mostly on dirt with specially made carts, and we do have a sled if we are lucky enough to get some snow. We mostly run here in New Jersey but we also travel. My daughter, Holly, has taken over the training and racing duties, with me as the support crew. We just do it for fun, although it is possible to win enough money to fill the gas tank in the truck. We like to be outdoors, and our dogs love to run. We are members of two different clubs in the area. The Pennsylvania Sled Dog club is a pretty big club that puts on a few races per year. The Jersey Sands Sled Dog Racing Association may do one race per year but we help a lot of new people get started in the sport. I have attached a picture of my daughter and team on snow and dry land.
