Foo News Round-Up: Shiflett’s Guitars, Grohl’s Daughter Singing Backup
Foo Fighters’ Chris Shiflett is basically hosting the coolest garage sale ever.
The guitarist recently announced that he is selling 20 of his own personal guitars on Reverb starting July 19.
“I have an excess of guitars that I’ve gotten over the years—I have more than I could even really play and more than I do play,” said Shiflett. “It would be fun to see these things find a home elsewhere, where somebody’s going to actually play them and put scratches on them.”
Complete guitar details can be found at Reverb.com.
In other Foo news: The band’s recent tour has become, quite literally, a family affair.
Dave Grohl’s daughter, Violet, has been popping up as part of the band’s crew of backup singers. Just look at Papa Grohl gush over Violet in the video below at some past gigs!
We imagine she’ll be on the road until school starts back up again. Who knows? Maybe she’ll want to pursue a music career, too. Wonder if Dave and his wife, Jordyn, would be okay with Violet dropping out of high school for a music career like Dave’s mother, Virginia, was?
