LAS VEGAS, NV - NOVEMBER 14: Singer Rob Halford of Judas Priest performs at The Pearl concert theater at the Palms Casino Resort as the band tours in support of the album "Redeemer of Souls" on November 14, 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Judas Priest’s Rob Halford, who turned 67 over the weekend (August 25), has more than earned the moniker “The Metal God” with his stunning, soaring vocals.

Halford’s voice is so incredible that is can cut through any pair of dueling guitars, but have you heard his vocals on their own?

Take a listen to the video below which isolates Halford’s vocal track on 1990’s “Painkiller” is all their brilliance.

Once again, he’s not called “The Metal God” for nothing!
