DUFF MCKAGAN Says Next Solo Album is in Progress: Rolling Stone

Duff McKagan has announced plans to release a solo LP in 2019, an album inspired in part by his journey with the recently reunited Guns N’ Roses. McKagan says, “The heartbreak, anger, fear, confusion and divide I have experienced traveling this globe  coerced these words into songs that tell my truth, and one that I hope will spread and help us all. I do this, because I truly feel it must be done and said right now.”

His last solo effort was in 1993, while Duff McKagan’s Loaded released an album in 2011. There’s no release date yet but he says he’s putting the “finishing touches” on the music.

NOTHING MORE Address Gun Violence in ‘Let ‘Em Burn’ Video: Loudwire

Nothing More premiered the video for their next single “Let ‘Em Burn”. The video acknowledges the gun violence that’s been taking over news headlines lately, with singer Jonny Hawkins explaining: “Most of us know that mental health is the cause of mass shootings, yet we are obsessed with talking about the symptoms and gridlocking ourselves in political battles. It’s time to find solutions… and it’s time to focus on mental health.”

The song is from the Nothing More’s album The Stories We Tell Ourselves, which came out last year. Watch the video here.
