After hearing the news of Peter Tork’s Death, we reflected on the wonderful time we had when the musician visited the studio a nearly seven years ago, months after his good friend Davy Jones had passed away. Enjoy the flashback:
Late in the morning on June 8, 2012 Peter Tork walked into The Preston & Steve Show studio and everyone lit up with joy. The gang was in the presence of a childhood hero and he was exactly who they wanted him to be! Lively, joyful, funny and warm; a Monkee!
Peter was in town with his band, Shoe Suede Blues – great name – to play the Sellersville Theater.
The gang had a great conversation with Peter. They talked about the creation of The Monkees, the music, meeting The Beatles, writing with Jack Nicholson and so much more. Take a listen!
