The Black Keys Release “Lo/Hi,” First New Song in Five Years

Five years after the release of their last album Turn Blue, The Black Keys are back with the new single “Lo/Hi.”

Preston & Steve debuted the song shortly after 8am this morning. The gang's immediate reaction: we really like it!

The surprise release comes after seeing Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney pursue various solo interests for the past few years.  Auerbach's side-project, The Arcs, released Yours, Dreamily, in 2015. Auerbach also released is second solo LP, Waiting on a Song, in 2017. Carney, meanwhile, has been busy taking on more producing projects, with his most notable credit coming from the 2017 Michelle Branch album Hopeless Romantic, whom he started dating and had a child with in 2018.

So far, no details about an upcoming album have been announced.

Pierre, Jaxon and the rest of the MMR crew will spin the song all day long, but if you just can't wait....
