Slipknot Confirm Percussionist Chris Fehn is No Longer in the Band
Slipknot published a statement to their official website confirming percussionist Chris Fehn is no longer in the band.
The “Message from Slipknot” reads as follows:
“Slipknot’s focus is on making album #6, and our upcoming shows around the world, our best ever. Chris knows why he is no longer a part of Slipknot. We are disappointed that he chose to point fingers and manufacture claims, rather than doing what was necessary to continue to be a part of Slipknot. We would have preferred he not take the path that he has, but evolution in all things is a necessary part of this life. Long live the Knot.”
This statement comes four days after entertainment news/gossip site The Blast reported Fehn was suing the band and wanted a “full forensic accounting” done on the band’s various finances because he claimed he wasn’t getting his full cut of touring and merchandise revenue.
Slipknot hasn’t released a statement regarding this lawsuit, however, Corey Taylor You’re gonna read a lot of bullshit today. This is all I’ll say. JUST YOU WAIT TIL THE TRUTH COMES OUT.
Long Live The Knot.
Slipknot also shared on March 14 the photo below along with the caption, “6 | 8.9.19” indicating their highly-anticipated sixth studio album will be coming out August 9.
