Mac Finally Had That Catch with Chase Utley
Three thousand, five hundred and twenty nine days (9 1/2 years) since Sweet Dee first read Mac’s love letter to Chase Utley, the two finally shared that “real homerun” moment in front of a sold out crowd for #26’s retirement night.
Spotted! Why would Chase & Jen Utley bring their neighbors to this important ceremony?
Rob McElhenney and Kaitlin Olson - Mac and Dee from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia -are seated behind home plate for Chase Utley's retirement ceremony. Maybe Mac has another letter for Utley.

YES! YES! YES! But that’s not all. Charlie Manual was all about this dream come true moment. Well, his kids were:
There’s been a few moments in 55yr career I’ve been proud of, but nothing that got my kids more excited than when I sat behind “Mac” @RMcElhenney 🌞🍺 pic.twitter.com/DOGGnvJMQL Ha. I’ve only asked to take a photo with one other celebrity in my life: Paul McCartney. @CMBaseball41 is The Beatles of Philly Baseball. pic.twitter.com/6YkwDISWv0
Not just one Beatle, Uncle Charlie is the whole damn band! That’s enough out of you, Rob, it’s time for Kaitlin to steal the spotlight again: Whoops! Little typo at the end, Mr Manuel. It’s “D-E-E.” https://t.co/XorsYh67rP

Rob wrote of the event, “I figured if i was gonna walk out there I should do it with some swagger. Also because there was a fifty-fifty shot I was gonna drop that ball. So I needed to soak in the glory before the humiliation set in.” Chase – in Chase fashion – left the jokes to his friends, instead he posted this photo the following day with a simple, one word caption: “Homeland.”
I’m not crying. You’re crying.
