Ryan Schott wants to rest of the world to know what we already know: Wawa is better than Sheetz.
The local business owner has pledged a $10,000 donation to Philabundance if Wawa can gain more followers on Twitter by December 6th. Coincidentally that is also the final day of Camp Out for Hunger which benefits Philabudance. Seems easy, right? Well, the Philly favorite is currently sitting at a 200,000 follower deficit to Sheetz.
*Ryan will be live on The Preston & Steve Show Friday morning at 7:15am*
Hang on, did we say issue or challenge? A website dedicated to the infiltration, followwawa.com, explains why it’s our civic duty to fight this good fight:
- Wawa makes our area feel like home. It’s a convenient place to find a quick, decent breakfast, lunch, or even a light dinner. I can’t count how many of my fun adventures, sporting events, business meetings, and average days have begun or ended with a trip to Wawa.
- Being from the Philadelphia area, We know what it’s like to be the underdog, to work hard, to be competitive, and to succeed against all odds. I’ve had the privilege of seeing our area come together many times before. When we reach goals together it’s an amazing feeling.
The only question left: Do you follow Wawa?
UPDATE: Sheetz has offered to match the donation. That’s the Keystone State is being great.
