Corey Taylor is seemingly always working on a new music project, and one of the projects he has in the works right now is a solo album.

Taylor told WhatCulture Music, “It’s been cool to kind of start building the momentum for a potential solo run… It’s definitely going to be rock-based, but it’s going to be rock meets so many different things. There will be harder-edged stuff, but there also will be big, expansive, huge, world-changing guitar songs that you’re going to want to sing along to. That’s just who I am, and I’m not going to fight who I am. I’ve got 26 songs written, and I’m not done yet.”

When this music will see the light of day is unknown. Taylor is currently keeping himself busy on the road with Slipknot, whose next show is November 23 in Lima, Peru. The band also recently announced they’ll be joining the cruise trend with the first Knotfest at Sea taking place August 10-14. Full details on the cruise can be found at KnotfestCruise.com.
