Foo Fighters are starting the New Year by recording new music, and they’re not afraid to step out of the traditional confines of a recording studio.

The band shared the photo below to Instagram along with the caption, “Come on in, the water’s fine…”

The Foos have spent a majority of 2019 touring and releasing EPs of various archived music, from covers and demos to live cuts and songs originally featured on soundtrack albums. The Foo Fighters’ self-titled debut will turn 25 in 2020, and drummer Taylor Hawkins said in an interview with of a potential 25th anniversary, “Well, it’s very possible. There’s a lot of talk. And I think Dave is already mapping out what he wants the next record to be, so I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s something coming down the pipe…I can’t 100 percent spell it out for you for sure, because I’m always the last to know and I don’t want to give it away. But I would imagine there will be something made of the 25th year of the Foo Fighters, for sure. You know us, we never stop.”
