Costco Now Requires A Membership For Their Food Court And Twitter Is Not Okay
You’re officially gonna have to pay to enjoy a meal at Costco. The wholesale warehouse is requiring a yearly membership for anyone who visits their foodcourt. So no more popping in real quick to grab the $1.50 hot dog and soda – unless you pay that yearly fee.
Signs have been spotted at various Costco locations around the country, announcing the new rule. They say, “Effective March 16, 2020, an active Costco membership card will be required to purchase items from our food court. You can join today. Please see our membership counter for details.” The Instagram account, Costcodeals, has confirmed that this is indeed going to be a thing. They add, “May still vary per store and roll out date may vary as well…”
A lot of Twitter users are losing their minds over this announcement. The reactions are a mix of anger, shock, and humor.
