Starting this week, Kaitlin Olsen added “home school teacher” to her already long list of credentials. Her school aged kids, one of whom will be celebrating a friend-less birthday this coming weekend, will be home for the foreseeable future leaving her in charge. So what did she put on the lesson plan?

In an awesome move, Kaitlin thought beyond her family and remembered that there are lots of people in her California community who need help right now more than ever.  She made plans to take the kids to volunteer at a local food bank and shared the suggestion on social media, hopefully to encourage other people to do the same.

Then, in true Philly phashion, the fine folks of the Delaware Valley reminded her that Philabundance needs help too! She tagged The Preston & Steve Show, we jumped in to spread the good word and invited her to come on the show to talk about her initiative.

Please visit Philabundance.org to find out how to help in your community. MANNA is also looking for volunteers for both packing food and delivering to clients. To learn more, click here.
