Brian Posehn’s ‘Grandpa Metal’ features Corey Taylor, Scott Ian, Weird Al & more
Brian Posehn is the coolest. He’s like the nerd we all are and the nerd we all want to be. The mind behind Deadpool, hilarious comedian, author, numerous TV show – ‘The Mandalorian’ folks! – and now he made a rad comedy album full of Top 40 hits recorded as hardcore metal songs.
“Any song is better if you make it heavy metal.”
And he didn’t do it alone. There’s an endless list of rock icons who contributed to the album including Slipknot’s Corey Taylor, Anthrax’s Scott Ian, Kim Thayil from Soundgarden, Michael Starrr of Steel Panther and the king, Weird Al. There were a few rock stars signed on who couldn’t make it (re: Kirk Hammett) which means it sounds like there’s already a follow up in the works.
