Fountains of Wayne’s Adam Schlesinger Dead at 52 From COVID-19
Fountains of Wayne co-founder Adam Schlesinger has died. He was 52.
Schlesinger died due to complications from the Coronavirus (COVID-19.) His death was confirmed to Rolling Stone by Schlesinger’s lawyer, Josh Grier.
Schlesinger formed Fountains of Wayne with Chris Collingwood in 1995. From 1996 through 2011, the band would release five studio albums with their biggest hit coming from 2003’s Welcome Interstate Managers with “Stacy’s Mom.”
