’30 Rock’ Is Returning To NBC, Sort Of, For One Night Only
30 Rock is returning to your television screens for one night only. Per CNN, the hit show and its beloved characters will return for “a special Upfront event.” The one-off special will reunite the show’s main characters to “celebrate the stories and talent featured in NBCUniversal’s 2020-21 television season.”
“As the old saying goes… when life hands you Lemon, have her host the Upfront!” The hour-long, commercial-free Liz Lemon special will feature guest appearances from talent from across the company’s networks highlighting new and returning programming. Expect to see characters from NBC, Telemundo, USA Network, SYFY, E!, and Bravo shows.
Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin, Tracy Morgan, Jane Krakowski, Jack McBrayer, and others are all set to return. In a statement, producers Tina Fey and Robert Carlock said, “We’re all happy to have this excuse to (remotely) work together again for NBC. To quote Kenneth the Page, there are only two things we love in this world, television and everyone.”
The 30 Rock Upfront event will air Thursday, July 16, on NBC then be rebroadcast on USA Network, Bravo, E!, Oxygen, SYFY, CNBC, and streaming on Peacock.
