Delta Reveals That 500 Employees Have Tested Positive For COVID-19, 10 Have Died
Delta announced that they have had 500 employees test positive for coronavirus; Ten of those employees have passed away.
Per the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, CEO Ed Bastian announced the news via the company’s webcast of its annual shareholder’s meeting last week. He added that the rate of infection within their company is “lower than any national average we’ve seen for overall infectious spread.”
Delta currently has 90,000 employees. They’ve also announced that they now plan to test all of them for the virus starting this week.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution adds that TSA currently has 50,000 security officers, and about 689 have tested positive for COVID-19. Six have died from the virus.
