Tom Petty ‘Wildflowers’ Reissue Finally Announced
Tom Petty’s 1994 album Wildflowers is finally getting the grand reissue release treatment.
Due out October 16, Wildflowers & All the Rest will be available in a variety of bundles and formats, including a massive Super Deluxe Edition made up of 5 CDs and 9 LPs totaling 70 tracks, nine unreleased songs and 34 unreleased versions. The “All the Rest” portion of the reissue is made up of ten songs leftover from the Wildflowers recording sessions. Of those ten, five are previously unreleased tracks.

Also included in the reissue are a number of demos, with the demo cut of “Wildflowers” being released today along with a video of never before seen footage of Petty at his home. That video can be viewed below.
A press release for the set reads, “Tom’s vision of the project is becoming a reality due to the commitment of his loving family, bandmates and collaborators who helped unearth many previously unheard gems. The compilation was curated by Tom’s daughters, Adria and Annakim Petty and his wife Dana Petty who call it, ‘Many, many hours of pure sonic joy,’ as well as Heartbreakers Mike Campbell and Benmont Tench, and was produced by Tom’s longtime engineer and co-producer Ryan Ulyate. Together they stewarded the warmth Tom created through his music and relationship to his fans.
