Stallone Dreams Up a List of Violent Fates for the ‘Rocky IV’ Robot
Rocky IV is reaching a major milestone this November but instead of getting more Rocky, we’re actually getting less. In a recent post Sylvester Stallone announced, “For the 35th anniversary, Rocky 4 is getting a new DIRECTOR’S cut by me. So far it looks great. Soulful… Thank you, MGM for this opportunity to entertain.”
One commenter posed a question, probably as a joke, but, surprisingly, Stallone replied:

That was unexpected! And it didn’t stop there. Once the internet caught wind of this travesty they bombarded his post with concerns and Sly did not hold back:
@uncletnuc I can only hope Sly is joking about the Rocky 4 directors cut. The Paulie’s robot clip on YouTube is literally how I found your page.

This small uproar gave us some insight on the robot and his history:
The robot from Rocky IV was also part of early Epcot and was a character on Days Of Our Lives. Completely unemployed from the entertainment industry now. pic.twitter.com/Yvhq4zZi3w

Fun fact, the robot that appeared in the movie was designed for assisted living for autistic children. For which Stallone's son is. Stallone is also good friends with the creator.https://t.co/ndCO52wrGN https://t.co/FW6OkixM0N

Other than mourning the loss of Paulie’s robot, there’s currently no other update as to when the director’s cut of Rocky IV will be released. Of course, that’s not going to stop us from blasting Survivor’s “Burning Heart” and John Cafferty’s “Heart’s On Fire” to pump us up in the meantime.
