This Day in P&S History: A Monkey Riding a Dog Took Over the Show
July 15, 2011 was arguably the best day of 2011
Got a little story to tell ya; In 1998 a little morning show was born and it was their dream to have a monkey that rode a dog come in and wreak havoc.
In 2011 Tim "Wild Thang" Lepard's inspirational speech took over the internet and he was booked to perform at a the Wilmington Blue Rocks with one stipulation, he visit The Preston & Steve Show before the game!
To say we were overwhelmed with anticipation is an understatement. There was a two-month countdown clock in the studio leading up to the day and Intern Jake wrote this song about his appearance:
Then, on July 15, 2011, our lives were changed forever. Tim's visit with Team Ghost Riders was better than we ever could have planned. Besides every girl going gaga over a cute monkey, he also stole John Bolaris' phone and hung up on Ryan Seacrest. Take in 90 seconds of Whiplash's chaos here:
