Foo Fighters closed out Lollapalooza last night (August 2) and were joined on stage by Dave Grohl daughter, Violet, to cover X's "Nausea."

After singing "Happy Birthday" to Dave's daughter Ophelia who was celebrating her 7th birthday, he then brought Violet on stage. During his intro, Dave said, "If you stick around long enough, maybe your daughter will join your band, too."

The father and daughter released a studio version of the track back in April as part of the release of Dave's documentary What Drives Us. The Grohls decided to cover the track after Dave discovered via his grandmother, whose maiden name is Bonebrake, that he is actually a distant cousin of X drummer D.J. Bonebrake.

"I wanted to record a song that would not only pay tribute to the people and music that influenced me to become a musician, but also to pay tribute to my long family history," wrote Grohl in an Instagram post. "So, what better song than an X song? And what better person to sing it than my daughter, Violet Grohl."

Before Lollapalooza, the father and daughter performed "Nausea" on Jimmy Kimmel Live!  along with bassist Krist Novoselic, drummer Dave Lombardo and producer Greg Kurstin.
