Here's your daily dose of nostalgia: September 8, 2021 is JTT's 40th birthday, David Arquette turns 50, and it marks the 25th anniversary of the 'Blue's Clues' debut. Nickelodeon launched the show with it's original host, Steve, on this day in 1996.

Parents and kids alike recall the heartbreak they experienced when Steve abruptly left for college four seasons later. He returned for a couple of special episodes, but it was never the same. So, when that iconic green stripped shirt popped up on our Twitter feeds yesterday, hearts collectively skipped a beat.

"You remember how when we were younger we used to run around and hang out with Blue, and find clues, and talk to Mr. Salt, and freak out about the mail, and do all the fun stuff? And then one day, I was like, 'Oh hey, guess what? Big news… I'm leaving,'" he asked in that classic inquisitive, gentle tone.

After a brief pause, he humbly follows up with a, "can we talk about that?"

Steve, played by Boyertown's Steve Burns, goes on to talk about how the time away allowed him to advance his career and follow his passions. Then he turned it back to the audience and how much we have grown since his 2002 departure. He acknowledges that our journey from clues to student loans was a long one, but we helped each other, "and that's super cool."

"I guess I just wanted to say that after all these years I never forgot you. Ever. And I'm super glad we're still friends." Expect a few more surprises from the Nick Jr. camp as they continue to celebrate #BluesClues25 including a recently announced movie that's in the works.
