Mick Fleetwood has been revealed as the new face of Pleasing, the lifestyle brand from pop star Harry Styles proving that Gen Z just can’t get enough of towering septuagenarian icons.

Per Vogue, Fleetwood is at the center of the second drop/collection from Pleasing called “Shroom Bloom” which the fashion publication says “figuratively riffs on the theme of magic mushrooms with its groovy product offerings.” Included among the offerings from “Shroom Bloom” are a collection of nail polishes, various t-shirts and an overnight face serum called Acid Drops.

So, how did Fleetwood initially connect with Styles? The drummer told Vogue, “The magical mystery tour started probably eight years ago. I took my daughters, Ruby and Tessa, who were 12, to see one of the last One Direction shows at the Rose Bowl. Very generously, their organization made it possible for us to go backstage for one of those meet-and-greets. If you’re a kid around your parents, you want mom and dad to disappear. But what happened was immediately Harry and the band started hovering around me while I’m trying to hide and get out of the way and be the dad that wasn’t there. [Laughs] Eventually, the girls realized Dad was actually causing a bit of a commotion.”

Of course, Styles does have a history with Stevie Nicks and had the honor of inducting Nicks into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for her solo work in 2019.

Nicks once said that Styles is the “love child” of herself and Fleetwood. When asked what he thought of that, Fleetwood responded, “Stevie has a great sense of humor! The fact is Stevie and I have been in a band for, well, 50 years really and she’s an incredibly close friend of mine. She’s an adventurer! She is also the godmother of Ruby and Tessa. I think Harry and Stevie first met at a show or something. He knew it was around her birthday and he walks into her dressing room with her favorite cake. I thought, ‘How cool is that?!’ It wasn’t arranged by someone else, he had it in a little box with him. That’s who he is.”

“Shroom Bloom” items will be available for purchase beginning March 15 and are currently available for preview at Pleasing.com.
