ATTN Internet Detectives: Help Solve the Tale of the Missing Wedding Dress
Dana had the best day of her life… after waiting much longer than expected. She was a COVID bride. Her April 2020 wedding was pushed back over a year. Finally, in May of 2021, her special day was celebrated on the beach in Florida.
All of the bride’s memories were captured on film, but she also chose to preserve the dream dress so that she could keep it forever. That was the plan.
The Phoenixville resident drove to Stanon Cleaners in Manayunk. It had come highly raided. She paid the $750 up front fee and snapped a photo of the dress per their recommendation.
As soon as Dana received the call that the dress was ready, she drove over to pick it up, but it wasn’t there. The people working at the cleaners searched high and low but it was gone.
Together, Dana and the dry cleaner looked through security footage and found a woman picking up the dress. No receipt, no verification, the woman said a name and they handed over the dress.
