Frosty Freeze-Out is Coming to The Linc
The Sixers’ Frosty Freeze-Out, a partnership between the team and Wendy’s is genius marketing. The deal gives promises small Frosties to all fans in attendance at Wells Fargo Center games when the opposing team misses two consecutive free-throw attempts in the second half. The Birds’ partnership with Wendy’s will give fans the same prize when the team keeps their opponent scoreless through the first quarter. What makes the Eagles’ Frosty Freeze-Out stand apart from the Sixers’ is that it will be available while they are on the road. If you are at an away game, do not worry. You will get that Frosty! This crowd-pleasing move will go a long way in future games, giving the team extra motivation to stay on defense. Plus it will keep fans on their feet, cheering (re: screaming) and messing with the opponents’ psyche. Looks like this new partnership will continue to evolve too. Eagles’ Vice President of Corporate Partnerships Brian Napoli announced that the fast food giant is set to be an associate partner of the Eagles Youth Football Academy. Philadelphia Wendy’s president Anthony Romeo also commented on the Eagles-Wendy’s partnership, stating that “[t]he connection to the [Philly] community through the Eagles Youth Football Academy is an opportunity for Wendy’s to live our brand of making more family moments possible.” Fans will be able to redeem free small Frosties the day after games by showing the offer in the official Eagles Mobile App at participating Wendy’s locations across the Philly tri-state area. Could we see the Phillies and the Flyers follow suit? It would certainly make Philly hockey and baseball games extra tasty! The Eagles’ Frosty Freeze-Out will go into effect this Sunday when the undefeated birds face the Jacksonville Jaguars at Lincoln Financial Field.
