Preston Elliot’s Limited Edition Fishtown Pickle Collab Benefits Camp Out For Hunger
Eat Pickles, Fight Hunger.
Preston & Steve’s 25th Annual Camp Out For Hunger is less than a month away. Fishtown Pickle Project is doing their part to join the fight against hunger in the Philadelphia region.
Fishtown Pickle Project Co-owners, Mike Sicinski and Niki Toscani, have partnered with WMMR’s Preston Elliot to create Preston’s Picks. The flavor profile is inspired by the radio host’s favorite Fishtown Pickle Project pickle, Zesty Sweet Garlic.
The limited addition collaboration combines warm spices and a zesty brine with locally sourced cucumber spears and mildly hot banana peppers. The results are a beautiful combination of sweet, spicy, garlicky, crunchy deliciousness.
“We had a blast coming up with this special product for Preston, and we are thrilled that a portion of proceeds from sales will benefit Philabundance,” said Niki. “Simply put: eat Preston’s pickles, fight hunger.”
The limited-edition batch can be ordered online via fishtownpickles.com. Jars will also be available at upcoming farmers markets in Collingswood, West Chester and Kennett Square. [Full calendar]
So, what inspired the collaboration? “I’m a pickle fanatic and was blown away by Mike and Niki’s pickles when I first tried them last year,” Preston exclaimed. “I’m not exaggerating when I say they are the best pickles I’ve ever eaten.”
Preston & Steve’s Camp Out for Hunger 2022 will take place from November 7th through the 11th in the parking lot of Xfinity Live! inside the Wells Fargo Center Complex.
“With that, I am so excited that they asked me to partner with them on this product and raise some much-needed funding for Philabundance as part of our annual Camp Out for Hunger. If you’re a brine head like me, you are going to love these pickles!”
