Michael Giacchino’s “The Batman” Score Nominated for 2023 Grammy
Congratulations to Friend of the Show… Friend of the Show… Michael Giacchino on being honored with a Recording Academy nomination for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media for his work on The Batman.
The New Jersey native is already a three-time Grammy winner thanks to his work on Pixar’s Ratatouille and Up.
You may recall, Giacchino debuted The Batman theme on our morning show for Steve Morrison’s birthday day and to quote Steve, “THAT WAS AWESOME!” More recently, the composer returned to The Preston & Steve Show during our 2022 Camp Out For Hunger broadcast. Giacchino did a meet cute with director Zack Snyder. We have to assume that more Grammy worthy work is going to come out of that multi-universe crossover.
Giacchino is among a group remarkable composers from across the film and TV in the nomination category. They include Germaine Franco, Hans Zimmer, Jonny Greenwood, and Nicholas Britell. 65th GRAMMY Awards will air live on Sunday, Feb. 5. Good luck, friend, we’ll be watching!
