Chris Pratt’s Voice In ‘Super Mario Brothers’ Gets Bashed Online (Again)
Mario (voiced by Chris Pratt) in The Super Mario Bros. Movie, from Nintendo and Illumination.
Another trailer for the Super Mario Brothers movie hit the internet yesterday (November 30). One thing that many seemed to agree on: Chris Pratt’s Mario sounds just like Chris Pratt. According to many, he didn’t make enough effort to sound like the Mario character. The supporting cast: Charlie Day as Luigi, Anya Taylor-Joy as Peach, Jack Black as Bowser and Keegan-Michael Key as Toad all seemed to be better received. Pratt was first dunked on when the cast was announced September 2021. Now, with two trailers out and a good idea of what Pratt’s Mario is going to sound like for the highly-anticipated movie, fans of the beloved video game franchise aired out their grievances on Twitter.
One person The Super Mario Bros. Movie might be the first instance where instead of one character/actor carrying the film, it will be literally EVERYONE ELSE carrying Chris Pratt. pic.twitter.com/bLwZ69FE6t

One person chris pratt really got into that voice booth and voiced himself like not a lick of effort https://t.co/MYyF2qLh74

Chris Pratt sounds like he was hired before the script was written. https://t.co/vlVFgu7lfx

'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3': Watch These Films First
Guardians of the Galaxy fans are eagerly waiting for the third installment in the film’s series. It will likely be the final Guardians film. Director/writer James Gunn has said that he always envisioned Guardians as a trilogy. But we also know that he’s recently accepted a job to run Marvel’s rival, DC Studios for Warner Brothers. So it’s definitely the end of an era (although surely some of the characters may live on in other film and TV franchises). But before we get to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 – due out on May 5, 2023, we have the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special. It drops on Disney+ Friday, November 25. Inspired by the infamous (and awful) 1978 Star Wars holiday special, Gunn apparently suggested the idea while shooting Guardians Vol. 2. MCU head Kevin Feige said that this was the first Marvel program conceived for Disney+, and it appears that it will be canon. In other words, it will advance the Guardians’ story, bridging their last appearance in Thor: Love and Thunder and Vol. 3. But in case you haven’t seen every single Guardians appearance, we’ll help you get up to speed.
