FACT: The Greater Delaware Valley loves Wawa so much that we are not afraid to share it. We know that it began here (DELCO!) and no matter where it ends up in the world, at it's core, the company will always stay true to Pennsylvania.

So we can confidently say: WELCOME TO THE WAWA FAMILY OHIO, INDIANA & KENTUCKY.

Surprised by that news? Wawa low key made the announcement on their Instagram page Wednesday afternoon. The post showed a very simple graphic of the iconic Wawa goose icon we adore, embarking on a flight path that starts in Indiana, then heads through Ohio and ends in Kentucky.

It's not clear whether that path accurately represents the timeline of the expansion or if the dotted line is simply the artist illustrating the new region.

The caption is straight forward though. It simply says: Wawa is spreading its wings after 2025 [heart emoji]. Comments on the post were turned off so all commentary was banished to personal accounts.

This expansion will grow Wawa's from it's current footprint of occupying seven states to now satisfying cravings in ten states across the county. Technically it will be eleven as the company announced plans to open stores in Georgia in 2024.

It's time for all the transplants to start warming up their new regional friends to terms like Hoagie, Sizzli, Shorti and Gobbler (mmm, Gobblers). Wawa isn't just a brand, it's a way of life.
