The Preston & Steve Show Livestream

Monday, December 12, 2022 Rundown

[00:03:08] In the Entertainment Report, Trevor Noah says goodbye to The Daily Show, Bam Margera is out of the hospital after receiving care for pneumonia over the weekend, Bill & Ted producer Ray Boudreau has been arrested for a million-dollar heist, and Mike Flanagan is set to adapt Stephen King’s The Dark Tower for Amazon. Hear about those stories and more in this edition.

[00:42:21] The gang discusses the...crappy...work of crane operators. With a bill recently being proposed for such workers to get mandatory breaks, time is taken to cover it, and callers recount their own experiences with bathroom breaks on the job site.

[01:24:47] The Bizarre File jumps into the jarring. An elderly Minnestoa man is facing charges for shooting a child’s bedroom window while trying to kill a squirrel, first responders in Florida rescue an eagle impaled by a lightning rod, a woman details how her dream wedding was ruined by ravers, and a 650-pound cow is removed from a doctor’s office.

[01:47:36] The gang tackles impostor syndrome. They read about it, detail their own experiences with it, and talk to callers who have dealt with it.

[02:26:51] Steve Byrne Zooms in. He and the gang discuss his new special The Last Late Night, as well as the talk shows that influenced it. A first edition of the “Jingle Bells” sheet music is up for auction, and it gets the gang talking about Christmas songs and...Sloth from The Goonies?

[03:22:23] The Bizarre File continues. Two people are rescued after falling three stories down an elevator shaft at the Bronx Terminal Market, a woman lies about the contents of a box she gives to her neighbor, a Pennsylvania man is fatally hit by a train after surviving a rollover crash, a man is arrested for ghastly crimes while on a date, and a mother accidentally wraps some Christmas presents with X-rated wrapping paper.

[03:39:41] The Hollywood Trash bin gets opened by Steve. In Music News, Tool announces their first-ever collectible statue, Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic recalls when he injured himself at the 1992 MTV Awards, Papa Roach drops the music video for the title track of their album Ego Trip, The Rolling Stones announce the release of GRRR Live!, and The Sharp Dressed Simple Man Tour is confirmed to be coming through our area.

[03:59:15] The gang wraps up, with Pierre joining in.
