YOU CAN DO IT! Adam Sandler Appreciates Miles Sanders’ Waterboy Impression

Mama said that when you are getting mic’d up during a National Football League game, you better make the most of it.

That’s exactly what Miles Sanders did. During the Eagles 48-22 victory over the Giants this past Sunday, the Birds running back wore a microphone to capture in game audio.

On Monday afternoon, after the PR staff combs through the video to make sure it’s properly bleeped, the Eagles shared a video montage. It showed Miles’ post game press conference in which he asked reporters if they could hear him paying homage to The Waterboy?

The video then cuts to the Penn State grad, reminding (aka, warning) his teammates that he is mic’d up, revealing his plan to let out a Bobby Boucher scream, and the exact moment that is happened during a block against the Giants’ Azeez Ojulari.

90 minutes after the video was posted, Adam Sandler replied to the Tweet. The Waterboy star, and well known Jets fan, wrote, “Love you buddy.”

Sanders followed up with by replying “Appreciate you big dawg.”

How fitting that the Sandman and Boobie Miles are now BFFs. If an Eagles focused follow up to Hustle is written in the next year, we won’t be mad!

Here are the three game-day offers that we know about: 

  • Sixers: Bricken for Chicken

    Sixers have  partnered with Chick-Fil-A for the new Bricken for Chicken promotion. Fans will receive:  

    • 5 count nuggets – 1st time opposing player misses two consecutive free throws in 2nd half  
    • 8 count nuggets – 2nd time  
    • 12 count nuggets – 3rd time 

    The promotion can be redeemed by opening the Chick-fil-A App, after the game, in the Greater Philadelphia area until 10:30 a.m., the next business day. Once the offer is claimed, it can be redeemed by scanning the Chick-fil-A App or by placing a mobile order via the Chick-fil-A App, within three days of the qualifying game. 

  • Eagles: Frosty Freeze Out

    The birds’ partnership with Wendy’s will give fans a free Frosty when the team keeps their opponent scoreless through the first quarter. Sounds familiar, because it is. Thus USED to be the Sixers’ promotion. We get to keep to thanks to the Birds.  

    What makes the Eagles’ Frosty Freeze-Out stand apart from the Sixers’ is that it will be available while they are on the road. If you are at an away game, do not worry. You will get that Frosty! 

    Fans will need to download the Eagles mobile app to redeem the free Frosty the day after the game at participating Wendy’s locations in and around Philadelphia. 

  • Eagles: Sack for a Big Mac

    Can you believe it?  The Eagles have a second promotion! We’re preeeettttyyy sure you can double up, too (that is, if the Eagles double up on their defense). 

    Here’s what the Sack for a Big Mac entails: Each day after an Eagles regular season home game in which the Eagles have recorded a sack, fans who download the free McDonald’s mobile app will be eligible to receive a free Big Mac with any purchase (limited to one per game).

  • UPDATE: Phillies Chicken Sandwich

    Last season, every time the Phillies won, McDonald’s gave a free chicken sandwich in through their app. After some quick math that’s 162 games, only 75 regular season losses… that’s a lot of sandwiches we missed out on.
