Preston & Steve Listeners Name This Carb The Superior Breakfast Bread
National Bagel Day is this Sunday, which got The Preston & Steve Show talking about breakfast breads. In an unexpected twist of events, battle lines have to be drawn to decide which one is the most superior. It turns out that the topic of morning carbs can be a contentious one.
There’s no better way to celebrate National Bagel Day than arguing over breakfast foods. Take a second to think about your favorite breakfast bread before continuing and seeing whose side you stand on.
CaseyBoy has a strong opposition to bagels. His top choice is English muffin, followed by various of toast. In fact, Casey stated that he thinks the soon-to-be-celebrated breakfast bread is highly overrated. That put him at odds with… well, everyone else. Preston and Nick love the fact that bagels can be eaten by themselves and paired with plenty of toppings and seasonings.
Majority of the show members said listed bagels as their top choice. That sentiment was echoed by the listeners.
A very-none-scientific poll ran on The Preston & Steve Show’s YouTube Livestream asking viewers to weigh in on their favorite breakfast bread. The results came back with bagels standing on top with 55% of the votes. The CaseyBoy-endorsed English muffins and toasts had a mere 16% and 6% of the votes respectively. Sorry Case! The fans aren’t with you on this one.
Although, the YouTube poll did bring a forth carb into the battle that we had not considered: croissants. The Austrian pastry had support from 22% of the livestream viewers, putting it in second place. There was a great level of disappointment amongst the team that croissants did not get any love during the initial argument, but each side stuck to their guns with their choices of preferred breakfast breads.
Where do you stand? Are you going to celebrate National Bagel Day with the namesake Polish roll? Will you be a maverick like CaseyBoy and eat English muffins in protest? How does a croissant sound? We’re getting hungry just thinking about it…
