FLASHBACK: Pierre Robert speaks with Perry Farrell
Today (March 29) is the birthday of Perry Farrell. The lead singer of Jane’s Addiction is an accomplished solo artist in his own right, and a few years ago he debuted a creative project called “Kind Heaven”.
Pierre Robert spoke with Perry when the project was brand new back in 2019. It was described as a “transcendental endeavor”, and it included an album release plus a tour with the Kind Heaven Orchestra.
Listen to the flashback interview below. Not long after that chat, Jane’s Addiction headlined the MMRBQ – scroll down to see the festival gallery.
Note: This interview originally aired in June of 2019.
MMRBQ 2021 [Band Performances]
From roughly 10:30am to somewhere around 3 (we call it Pierre Standard Time) weekdays Philadelphia rocks with (and loves) Pierre Robert on WMMR. Pierre Robert began his illustrious career at the pioneering progressive rock station KSAN, in his hometown San Francisco, but it’s through his uninterrupted 42-year tenure at Philadelphia‘s legendary WMMR that he’s made his mark. One of the city’s most recognizable celebrities will write about being at the center of its live music scene and greeting his legions of fans as if personal friends in the smallest clubs and largest stadiums.
